aXes Versions
aXes versions 1.3.5 and 2.1.1 are currently supported.
Support for 2.1.0 ended on 31st August 2012.
Support for 1.3.2 ended in July 2010. Support for 1.3.3 ended in January 2011. Support for 1.3.4 ended in September 2011. Contact your vendor if support for 1.3.3 or 1.3.4 is required and for upgrade options.
Document Purpose
aXes 2.1.1 supports the following platforms. If a platform is not listed or its support is about to end, you may still be able to use it, but aXes Support can use discretion in dealing with any issues raised. You may be asked to reproduce the issue on a supported platform, and if this cannot be done, you may be required to upgrade.
Contact your vendor if supported platforms information is required for versions of aXes prior to 2.1.1.
IBM i Server Operating Systems
Operating system versions V5R3, V5R4, V5R4M5 and V6R1 and V7R1 are supported.
Contact your vendor if support for V5R2 is required and for upgrade options.
Client Side Hardware/OS Client combinations
Development: All desktop-based Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 versions executing on Intel or AMD processors.
Deployment: All desktop-based Windows OS versions executing on Intel or AMD processors - except Windows 95, 98 and ME.
Desktop-based Apple Mac OS X version 10.6 on any processor.
Note: OS X 10.6 is the current reference platform. Other versions are supported but an issue must be reproducible on the reference platform.
Supported Mobile Device Browsers
The hardware vendor supplied browsers for iPhone, iPad, Android 2.1 (or later)2, Blackberry (Torch 9800 or later) and Windows Phone 7 are supported.
Note: Firefox is only officially supported on Windows PC operating system platforms (Windows 7 based tablets and Note/Netbooks).
aXes-TS (Terminal Server Classic) and aXes-TS2 (Terminal Server) Browser Support
Development: IE8 or IE9 are currently supported.
Deployment: IE7, IE8 and IE91, and for aXes-TS2 also Firefox (3.6 or later), Safari (4.0 or later), and Google Chrome (4.0 or later) are supported.
aXes-WS (Web Spooler Classic) and aXes-DE (Data Explorer Classic) Browser Support
IE7 and IE81 are supported.
aXes-WS2 (Web Spooler) and aXes-DE2 (Data Explorer) Browser Support
IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox (3.6 or later), Safari (4.0 or later) and Google Chrome (4.0 or later) are supported.
Notes
1 aXes support for IE6 ended on September 1st, 2010. Contact
your aXes reseller if IE6 support is required and for upgrade
options.
2 Android devices are shipped with many different manufacturer supplied browser versions. Sometimes, as defects are found, these versions are not upgradeable or patched. We strongly recommend you use the latest Chrome browser available on your Android device - in place of the Android browser shipped on the device.
