The aXes Spool File Management tool allows you to manage IBM i, System i, iSeries or AS/400 spool files and output queues via the Internet with only a browser. You can view, print, download and delete reports.

Work with IBM i output queues and reports via the Internet
The output queues and reports can be manipulated with commands (view, print, delete) run directly from the browser.
Scripts allow you to enhance a basic report – you can change the way a report looks or print only relevant parts of a report. A script can also be tailored to select a page range to print or insert pictures into the report based on data within the report (for example, a picture associated with a product code).
Web page format simplifies report management
The spool files are displayed as a list in a Web page. The list simplifies selecting and viewing the reports – a few mouse clicks will accomplish most tasks. The filters allow you to reduce the list of reports and speed up finding the report you want.
Convert spool files to PDF, XML, HTML and text
aXes provides alternative formats for reports and can convert spool files to PDF, XML, HTML and text. You can choose how you wish to use the information in the report, for example, converting a spool file to PDF is a convenient way to send it as an attachment to an email.
Download reports into business applications like Excel and Word
Spool files can be downloaded and integrated with business applications like Microsoft Excel and Word or email. The download offers another way to distribute information from your 5250 applications. Suppose your accountant needs information for a financial analysis and a printed report is the only way to gather this information. With aXes Spool File Management the accountant can download the spool file and load the information into Excel.
