Hardware Requirements
axes requires the following hardware:
  • Any AS/400 or iSeries model running OS/400 V4R4 or later
  • Any communication hardware that is supported by the TCP/IP protocol stack
  • The machine must have sufficient storage to meet the combined requirements of the software prerequisites, axes servers, and any application programs.
  • The installation requirements depend on the components you install and how much working space you need.
Disk space required
  • The base component of the axes product requires 10 MB of storage.
  • The axesTS component installation requires 3.5 MB of storage.
  • The axesW3 component requires 6 MB of storage.
  • The axes examples require 3.5 MB of storage.
  • A complete installation requires 23MB of storage.

Software Requirements
axesTS has the following host requirements:
  • A FastCGI enabled HTTP server such as axesW3 or Apache HTTP (with FastCGI module support installed).
  • An axes base component installation
axesTS has the following client requirements:
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater -- scripting enabled
  • Microsoft's IE MSXML extension, version 3.0 or greater
